  1. I very much enjoyed Professor Diehl’s presentation and learned a lot about using small-group and pair- work for coming up with definitions and analysis of major concepts. I also liked the use of photos as a basis for discussion of stereotypes and assumptions based on visual cues. Overall, her presentation was clear and she always was mindful of what students’ reactions might be to the concepts being discussed. She drove home the importance of encouraging students to provide rationales for their answers, which involved the students using language that they would not otherwise have known. They seemed to be getting an entry into metacognitive thinking!

I would also like to have a link to the diagnostic grammar test she uses or the name of the book that contains the test.

  2. Thank you kindly. I used Hawks stats book for years and used calculus book as well. It saved my life and helped out many students .a win –
win for the instructors and students.

  3. I believe this is a very necessary and relevant topic that all professors need to be more aware of and actually implementing these ideas into their courses, regardless of content.

  4. Thanks Hawkes Learning.com for free access to your webinar resources that are informative and engaging. Teaching and learning in a virtual reality has shifted the paradigm across the world for educational pursuits and professional careers. Your company provides “go-to” access to a plethora of academic tools. I teach English composition courses at a local community college in Dallas, TX, and attend your webinars for both instructional purposes as well as professional development (PD) credit.
