Strategies to Transform Face-to-Face Courses and Tutoring Services to an Online or Hybrid Format

Are you changing the format of your classes and academic support services as colleges and universities strive to keep students safe during this pandemic?

In this session, Professor Kelly Coultas and Professor Tyler Price will explore the wide variety of services and programs offered by University of Louisville’s comprehensive math center that serves more than 2,000 students annually. Professors Coultas and Price will frame the discussion around how they have transformed their face-to-face math intervention courses and tutoring services to an online and hybrid format.

Professor Kelly Coultas is an Academic Coordinator for REACH Math Resources at the University of Louisville. She serves as an instructor and course administrator for the GEN 103/104 program and coordinates the summer Calculus Preview Program. Professor Coultas has worked for REACH Math Resources since 2013, and she taught high school mathematics for five years prior to joining REACH. She has a B.S. in Mathematics Teaching from Purdue University Fort Wayne and an M.Ed. in Counseling and Personnel Services with a concentration in School Counseling from the University of Louisville. She married her wonderful husband, Tyler, in March of 2019.

Professor Tyler Price is a Program Coordinator, Sr., for REACH Math Resources at the University of Louisville. In this role, Professor Price serves as an instructor and course administrator for the GEN 103/104 program, as well as a math tutor manager. He has a B.S. in economics and a minor in mathematics, and he is currently pursuing graduate work in mathematics. He is married to his college sweetheart, Brandi, and has two ridiculously large horse-dogs.
