One challenge faced by both students and instructors is how to maintain a sense of presence in asynchronous online classes.
In this session, Professor Stephen Webber of University of Maryland Global Campus will share his experience using asynchronous video in his virtual courses. Attendees will explore some different use cases for video and other tools as a means to maintain presence with their students in virtual courses.

Professor Stephen Webber is an online English instructor at the University of Maryland Global Campus. He is the author of Deep Freewriting and Writing from the Inside Out. He has been teaching virtually since 2010.
