Straight from the Students: A Student Panel Discussion on the Transition to Online Learning

While instructors consistently discuss the transition from face-to-face to online teaching among themselves in preparation for the fall semester, few webinars ask for student input.

In this professor-moderated panel, four students who took mathematics courses in Spring 2020 at Norfolk State University will discuss their experiences and give feedback on the transition to online learning. Dr. Maila Hallare and Dr. Shahrooz Moosavizadeh of Norfolk State University will moderate the discussion by providing guiding questions surrounding topics such as LMS, online homework management, textbooks, online tests, adaptation strategies, and other areas of online education.

Dr. Shahrooz Moosavizadeh is a Professor of Mathematics; Dr. Maila Hallare is an Assistant Professor of Mathematics; and Kiara, Nicholas, Steven, and Essence are students at Norfolk State University. Norfolk State University is a mid-sized historically black university in southeast Virginia.
