With North Carolina’s redesign of developmental math, Jeff transitioned from being an effective traditional math instructor to finding success with the modular approach. However, success did not come easy! Along with talking about the early mistakes/failures that he made, Jeff will walk through the mentoring/coaching process that has proven successful in developing his students. A major focus of this webinar will be the “Success Meetings” that Jeff uses to enable the transformations in his developmental math students.

About the Presenter:

Jeff Humphrey has been teaching adults for 20 years. His experience ranges from tutoring in learning centers to teaching in the classroom. For the past 12 years, he has worked in developmental math education at Wake Tech Community College where he currently serves as a lead instructor and a professor in developmental math education.
