Arrival of the Wizard

During the pandemic, we sought ways to engage our students and give them a sense of community. Perhaps our most successful experiment involved having colleagues play the part of a “Writing Wizard” who would appear like magic during Zoom classes to discuss various writing issues. They could also have a presence during specially assigned Office Hours.

We will outline methods for addressing this team-teaching technique and ideas to implement it in live sessions.
