The turkey’s thawing out, the casseroles are waiting to be made, and the pumpkin pie is going to be a delicious memory (as long as your baking skills are better than mine and don’t burn it). Thanksgiving is just a few hours away!
I’m thankful for working with such fun, charismatic colleagues who are ready to celebrate the holiday tomorrow. Before we all see our families and friends and gain those inevitable five extra pounds, I sat down with a few of them to ask what they’re grateful for this holiday season. Check out their responses below!
Jennifer: “I’m excited to be spending Thanksgiving with my nephew. It will only be his second Thanksgiving!”
Alex: “I’m grateful for my dog Murphy!”
Steven: “I’m thankful that I’m able to see my family for the holiday. I’ll be with my grandparents, parents, and my 20-year-old brother I haven’t seen in a long time. I’m also thankful I’ll have a week’s worth of leftovers so I won’t have to go grocery shopping.”
Jeff: “I’m grateful for my two grandchildren.”
Florie: “I’m happy I live on the East Coast now so I can fly into Connecticut to see my family. I haven’t been home for Thanksgiving in six years, so I’m thankful to be traveling there today.”
Laura: “I’m grateful for the new experience of living down here in Charleston!”
Caitlin: “I’m looking forward to seeing my family in Texas this Thanksgiving. My sister and her family haven’t been in the U.S. for the holiday since 2010. This will be the first Thanksgiving I’ll be spending with my niece and nephew!”
Casey: “I’m thankful for spending time with my family. They haven’t been home in more than a year, so it will be special to see them again.”
From all of us at Hawkes, happy Thanksgiving!
