We at Hawkes know how important it is for you to identify which students are at-risk and falling behind, as well as recognize students who are doing a great job! Our Search By Criteria report will help you better communicate with all of your students.

You can access the report under the Reports tab in your Grade Book. It is the last link in the Grading column on the left.

Once you choose the instructor and section, you have five filters you can use to find students. You are able to apply multiple filters at once if you would like.

Students with overall grade between __ and __

This filter allows you to pull any students with an overall average between the two numbers you enter.

Students with grade between __ and ___ in [-Select Assignment-]

You can now filter and communicate with a group of students with specific grades on individual assignments. This filter can be combined with any other Grade or Activity filters to help narrow your list for student outreach and can be saved for easy access throughout the term.

Students with grade between __ and __ in [-Select Assignment Group-]

This filter allows you to pull any students with an average between your designated values in a specific assignment group, such as tests or homework.

Students who haven’t logged in for __ days

Pull a list of any students who haven’t logged in for a specified number of days. You can use this to see which students may be falling behind and not completing work on a regular basis.

Students who have spent less than __ minutes in any HLS Lesson or WebTest between __ and __ dates

Find students who aren’t spending enough time in the courseware to see if their grades are suffering because of it.

Students who have attempted Certify at least __ times between __ and __ dates

This filter allows you to see which Certify assignments students have already attempted between certain dates, as well as whether they have mastered these assignments. You can save your filters to access the information you need as quickly as possible!

Selecting Filter Report will provide a list of students matching your designated criteria. By clicking the check boxes next to their name, you can choose to send specific students messages directly from this report. The message box will open in a new tab.

You can use this to remind students to log in and complete homework or to encourage students who are performing well!
